About Winder
Winder is a darkroom for half-frame film. It splits lab scans into single photographs, straightens them, and files every roll as plain folders and files you own.
It runs on iOS, macOS and Android, in English and 中文.
What it stands on
Files, not a database. Your library is a folder. Rolls are folders inside it, metadata is JSON beside each photograph, and everything is readable without Winder. Point it at iCloud Drive, Dropbox or a WebDAV mount and the library follows you.
Local-first. No account, no server, no telemetry on your photographs. Syncing happens through your storage, not ours.
Nothing refuses a scan. Rolls and albums are metered on the free tier; importing never is. Leaving the destination unset files frames loose at the top of the library — a real place to land, so the app never has to say no to a photograph.
Nothing is hard-deleted. Deletions move to .trash inside the library.

Colophon
Monochrome by rule — graphite ink on paper — with colour reserved for the things that mean something: the red heart, the orange and blue cut handles. One typeface throughout, with a single handwriting face kept for the words the photographer wrote themselves: the roll's name, on the sticky note on its box.
